Neupogen / Epogen and other Blood Modifiers

NEUPOGEN ™ / EPOGEN ™ AND OTHER BLOOD MODIFIERS:

COLONY STIMULATING FACTORS:

NEUPOGEN: Reduces the risk of infection by reducing the severity and duration of neutropenia usually due to cancer therapy or idiopathic incidence. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce White Blood Cells to help fight infections. It is administered by subcutaneous injection for a specific period of treatment, usually for 7-10 days. Our skilled Nursing staff can easily teach the patient or caregiver how to administer this medication in the home.

EPOGEN: Used in the treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure, HIV patients and patients with low erythpoietin levels. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce Red Blood Cells. It is administered by subcutaneous injection for a specific period of treatment, usually three times per week. Our skilled Nursing staff can easily teach the patient or caregiver how to administer this medication in the home.

There are various other blood modifiers which we can provide and administer. Our skilled Pharmacy and Laboratory staff are able to pre-load syringes with the prescribed dose of medicine to facilitate the injection process.

Services include:
  • 24-hour support service with Nursing and Pharmacy staff.
  • Delivery service.
  • Provide pre-filled syringes for ease of administration.
  • Clinical assessment and monitoring.
  • Laboratory testing and monitoring.
  • Liaison between Physician and patient.
  • Education and training for patient and caregiver.
We provide a coordinated "team approach" offering support, reassurance and integrated medical services for all our blood modifier patients.
